Our crops are selected based on recommendations from our partners, neighbors, and customers. We grow seasonally and follow the sun in what we cultivate for our Mid-Atlantic climate.
In the past, our most popular offerings have been tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, herbs, and beets.
Below is a list of our typical offerings across the year, specific cultivars will be announced at the beginning of each season. This list is not exhaustive and may change based on the desires of our customers.
Spring: Arugula, spinach, beets, cut flowers
Summer: Beets, tomatoes, peppers, onions, carrots, cut flowers
Fall: Garlic, collards, kale, spinach, carrots, cabbage, salad greens, squash, cut flowers, dried arrangements

Since 2021, Backyard Basecamp has managed its on-site apiary made up of honeybee swarms relocated from homes and businesses across Baltimore City.
We are proud to be a part of a long tradition of beekeeping in the mid-Atlantic and to improve the capacity for pollination for our immediate neighbors.
Our honey and wax are processed and bottled on-site in our farmhouse kitchen for sale alongside our produce offerings.
Our apiary is at capacity, and we are committed to supporting local beekeepers by providing them with splits and swarms from BLISS.
Our medicinal herb garden is Backyard Basecamp's newest offering for community health and wellness.
While we grow, share, and consume everything that we produce on our farm we also do not claim to be your personal healthcare provider. We do not claim that our herbs will cure any condition or resolve your health concerns. We base our medicinal selections on historically known health outcomes across societies since time immemorial.
In 2023, Backyard Basecamp was joined by community members and multiple rounds of volunteers to establish our orchard.
As the trees mature on our property we will soon be able to offer limited quantities of apples, peaches, pears, persimmons, and cherries for our community.
We intensively farm our market garden and produce our crops in the ground with great considerations for soil health, stormwater management, and pest management.
Although we have not sought federally recognized Organic certification, we follow the same principles to deliver healthy, hyper-locally produced vegetables, herbs, flowers, and honey.
We are excited to begin offering a variety of mushrooms cultivated on our farm for both medicinal and culinary use.
Our logs were inoculated in Fall 2024 and we expect our first flush Spring-Fall 2025.
Check back with us then to meet our new mycorrhiza partners on the land.
