We are overcome with gratitude for the outpouring of support for our fledgling organization. I am so thrilled to write this letter to you, to welcome you to our family of supporters, and to thank you not just for your donation, but above all for your intention to commit to nature equity.
Your gift will be instrumental in laying the groundwork for Backyard Basecamp, Inc. to grow and thrive. Because of donors like you, in the past year we have sprung from a tiny seed of an idea, blossoming and accomplishing so much for the people of Baltimore.
Your support enables us to:
- Purchase the much-needed materials and equipment to expand our farm this spring, growing even more food for our community
- Secure staff to grow our volunteer and community base
- Begin the process of renovating the home we purchased on Plainfield Ave into a LEED-Certified building to serve as the hub for our community and educational programming
- Plan and offer monthly workshops in gardening, harvesting, sustainable living, wilderness skills, and more!
